Training that lives in someone’s head is not training. It’s tribal knowledge.
Tribal knowledge is fragile:
- It leaves when people leave.
- It changes based on mood.
- It’s hard to scale.
Playbooks create repeatability.
What a playbook is
A playbook is not a binder. It’s:
- The steps
- The standard
- The checklists
- The examples
- The minimum acceptable outcome
If you want consistent performance, you need consistent training assets.
What to do this week
- Pick one process that causes the most rework.
- Write a one-page playbook for it.
- Train it, test it, and revise it weekly for a month.
